Description
The White Carpathians (Biele Karpaty in Slovak) are located on the Czech-Slovak border. The highest parts are about 900 metres above sea level with the highest mountain Velká Javořina (970 m above sea level). The White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area was established in 1980 and since 1996 the area has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Welcome to the White Carpathians and a region full of folklore!
The aim of the challenge is to visit 20 selected peaks of the White Carpathians partly in the Czech Republic and partly in Slovakia during 2022. A very careful selection has been prepared by the mountain climber Marco Emperador together with his father Lubin. Marco is a great photographer, hiker and world traveler who loves to talk about his travels and pass on his experiences at travel lectures. For him, too, "everywhere is good, home is best", so the most beautiful region in the world for him is definitely Wallachia with the peaks of the White Carpathians.

Moje první výzva Horal. Bílé Karpaty miluji a každý vrchol byl pro mě skvostem a zážitkem…polovinu vrcholu jsem obešla s mým synkem a psem na 4 denním putování, na které nikdy nezapomeneme…noc na Slovensku ve stanu v osadě plné psu, noc na vrcholu v Žitkove a rano návštěva úžasného infocentra, nebo noc pod vrcholem Machnac…taky nikdy nezapomenu na bourku, která nás chytila na Velké Javorine, na pohodu na Velkém Lopeniku, na kravy na Lesne, které mě rozbrecely nebo na kouzelný podzimní zapad slunce na Kanuru, zimni mlhu na Chmelove, nebo úžasné výhledy z Plostiny….
