Peaks over 1,000 metres in the Czech Republic

Everyone knows the highest peak in the Czech Republic – Sněžka, 1,603 m. But did you realise that there are over 400 peaks in the Czech Republic with an altitude of over 1,000 m?  And can you visit at least 100 of them? This lifelong challenge will crown you an expert on the Czech mountains, whatever level you achieve. You’ll get to know the Krkonoše, Šumava, Jizera Mountains, Hrubý Jeseník, Beskydy, Ore Mountains, Orlické Mountains and other beautiful corners of our country. 

The aim of the challenge is to visit peaks with an altitude of 1,000 metres or more (inclusive) within an unlimited timeframe.
Level 1: 100 peaks
Level 2: 200 peaks
Level 3: 300 peaks
Level 4: 400 peaks

We have clearly categorised the peaks by mountain range and listed the ranges in alphabetical order. This means you can focus on collecting only the ‘thousand-metre’ peaks from a specific range and proceed systematically. The final category, however, is not a mountain range but ‘patronage peaks’. In Horobraní, we have the option to sponsor unnamed peaks and give them a new name. However, as these are unofficial names, we have removed them from the official list and created a special category for them, regardless of the mountain range. 

This challenge has no time limit and has been valid since the launch of Horobraní (2019).
