Summer 4x4 Challenge

The aim of the challenge is to visit any 4 countries we have in Horobraní (currently 20 countries in Europe) from 1 June to 30 September 2023, and visit any 4 peaks in each of them. In total, 16 peaks need to be logged. The Czech Republic counts as one country, so you just need to find three more. In addition, we are competing with Kerda Cyklosport from Liberec for a Rozzo bike. A spoiled summer challenge for holiday travel just right!

In this challenge, we are competing for the main prize of this year - a Rozzo bicycle worth CZK 15,000 and other cycling prizes from Cyklosport Kerda.

Here are two photos from 2019, when the Rock Machine bike was up for grabs in the 2021 Perennialist challenge. In the draw, we drew a nice Horobranik from Pilsen, who has the nickname svikaj, from 304 successful mountain bikers.

Challenge partner

We came up with this summer travel challenge with the Liberec-based Cyklosport Kerda. It is a family-run bike and service shop that has been here in Liberec since 1991. Here they really understand bikes and can give great advice to every customer. The service, which was the first Shimano Service Centre in the Czech Republic, has been running since 1996 and is still keeping up with new gadgets. The shop, located in Švermova Street in the Františkov district of Liberec, offers a wide range of bicycles, electric bikes, spare parts, cycling equipment and cycling clothing. Upstairs you can buy winter sports equipment and especially skis. Cyklosport has been run from the very beginning by Martin Kerda alias Železný_koleno, who is not only a cycling professional, but also a passionate collector of tourist stamps and an active hiker and Horobraník. He is a great expert of Czech mountains, lookout towers and other Czech attractions and he loves to talk about it.
