Slovak crossword puzzle 2026

Following last year's highly successful launch of the Czech crossword puzzle, this year we are adding a Slovak version of the mountain crossword puzzle challenge.

So if you like to play, this challenge is perfect for you. The text of the puzzle is a Slovak poem written by Jano373.

The aim of the challenge is to reveal all the letters of the puzzle by gradually visiting the peaks whose initial letters are displayed in the puzzle. For multi-word names, only the first letter counts (e.g. U Javoru = U). If a given letter is part of the puzzle, it will appear as many times as it occurs in the puzzle; there is no need to visit more peaks with this letter. To complete the challenge, you will need some peaks that can only be found in Slovakia.

Example: I visit the Solisko peak and thus try the letter "S" in the secret word. If "S" is found in the secret word, it will appear in all places in the secret word, even though you opened the letter with a single visit. If the letter "S" is not part of the puzzle, it will not appear in the puzzle, but will be displayed below the puzzle as a tried and unnecessary letter.

We added the letter Y to the puzzle at the beginning because it is almost impossible to find a vertex starting with this letter. Don't forget to check the letter conversion table. For example, Ä will count as A.

You do not know in advance which specific letters are in the puzzle; you only have information about how many letters the puzzle contains in total. For example, if you reveal the letter A, it will be filled in all the places in the puzzle, and it is possible that it will fill dozens of empty fields :-).
